I'm not sure how big this race will be. If it is big enough, I think you are able to work with (or persuade, maybe with a small portion of the registration fee) some public transit systems such as buses and metro rapid transit (MRT) to run special services in early morning for runners to park in other empty parking areas and take them to the race start. Otherwise, I think it might be difficult to find a parking lot in Taipei if every runner drives his car.

The other way that you can try is carpooling (i.e. a couple of people in one car instead of one person a car). Maybe here or in the race web site, provide a bbs-like forum for runners to discuss how they can sit in one car to the race.

Scan a colorful map about the race course. I think it should be easy to find a graphics tool to load the image and hightlight, say with red, the course. Place some legends if the text on the map is not clear.

Dont't know how the course is measured in Taiwan. In USA, there is a USATF to identify the courses. You can sometimes see a race (from 5K to the famous Chicago Marathon, etc) that is USATF certified. A certified marathon is measured within certain error in distance, the degrees of hills, (maybe the number of turns allowed), etc.

Unlike ten years ago when very few people in Taiwan heard about GPS, I believe GPS is very popular now. In my running group, some runners run with GPS once in a while to determine precisely the distance, steepness of the course we run.

Here are my suggestions,

1. Is it possible to scan a map and highlight the courses.

This should be easy.

2. If possible, you can use GPS to measure it precisely and plot the profile. This way, runners know where the hills and turns, dangers are.

This can take some time as people have to ride the bikes (to reduce the air pollution) or run it with GPS. Maybe a few times toget the average. Convert the data into a graph.

致TINA：首先歡迎妳有興趣來參加本會所承辦的馬拉松路跑賽，請教站長的問題，我先代為回答，若不滿意，再請站長做更詳細的答覆。。
1、新店溪高灘地的比賽場地位置，是在永和市這端中正橋下方，入口可從橋上往中和方向之匝道迴轉，（請勿下橋）亦可從永和市環河西路中正橋下方水門進來，活動當日會開放路邊停車，還算方便。
2、在永和市的路線約十公里左右，就在河堤邊的環河東、西路，活動當日有交通管制與指導人員。
3、浮洲橋下至城林橋折返點約2-3公里，活動當日此路段，由土城慢跑協辦為選手服務，（包括：補給站與折返點）。
4、十六公里路跑的路線，從中正橋下運動場旁，起跑點出發，往中和方向經華中、萬板、光復、華江等橋，至大漢橋附近原路折返，沿高灘地舖石道路，大漢溪畔晨霧與雁鴨齊飛，河川之美盡在眼前。
