In fact, most of races I ran did not use chips and they worked pretty fine.

In the races I have run with a chip, their chip system was able to post the timing to the web site. In this case, people having access to the Internet will be able to monitor in real time how each runner is running on live. I have a friend running the Boston this year. I was able to know how he ran all the way.

As I posted in another topic <<�éM��ԪQ²��^�媩>>, using chips can easily record runners' timing at different locations such as 10K, 1/2 marathon, 32K. Runners will be able to run how their pace vary all the way.

Just like to know how the race time is figured out in Taiwan. As far as I know here in US, chip timing system is used mostly for races of distances 1/2 marathon and above. It's pretty convenient and accurate. How is it used in Taiwan? Thanks.
