多日賽的超馬，東西方人的差距就不若短距離，速度固然重要，但意志力與體質更是關鍵。只是台灣超馬還是有相當大的參與空間，一則是國內賽事少（韓國、日本一年50場以上），另為國人對超馬的認識不足，畢竟超馬是跑者每日練跑的延續。
除百馬外，超馬也是跑者目標之一。
